ANOMALY

attention is all you need.

Hello,

If you are reading this, you are someone interested in learning about what I have come to recognize as "anomalies."

The Oxford English dictionary defines an anomaly as, "something that deviates from what is standard, normal, or expected."

For as long as I can remember, I have had an inexplicable attraction to anomalies. More specifically, I have been drawn to anomalies that might lead to growth for myself, my wallet, and most importantly, the world.

An anomaly can be many things: a person, a business, a technology, even just an idea. But, all anomalies share one thing in common.

They draw attention.

It is within our human nature to be attracted to things that deviate from the norm. It is what has progressed our species forward for thousands of years. If we were only ever interested in accepting the status quo, we would probably still be somewhere in a cave eating raw meat.

Since anomalies innately garner attention, I believe the best way to find anomalies (and maybe even create one yourself) is to study the ebbs and flows of attention.

Which is where the idea for this project started.

Understanding what is driving attention is the key to success in business and in power. So, it is our mission to provide you with a monthly review of the 10 biggest anomalies in attention. Delivered to your door rather than your inbox.

The first month is free and feedback is always welcome, so consider subscribing at the link below.

Thank you for reading this letter and remember–attention is all you need.
